WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
You’ll be providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, earning great pay, and making a real impact in Outside School Hours Care, with our awesome employer partner in Strathpine. You will:
• Assist with the development and delivery of high quality, engaging educational programs and activities
• Assist with day to day operational duties including compliance, administration and record keeping
• Provide a safe and inclusive environment for children to learn and develop their social skills
• Foster strong relationships with children and parents, communicating developmental milestones
• Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development as required
ABOUT YOU
We’re on the lookout for someone aged 18 – 26* who:
• Is available to work flexible hours, including morning shifts 6:30am – 9am, afternoon shifts 2pm – 6pm, and vacation care
• Is a reliable and responsible team player with a desire to develop leadership skills
• Has high ethical standards, is trustworthy and confidential
• Has strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Outside School Hours Care, or other relevant industry qualification. Cert III may also be considered
• Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing programs suitable for school aged children
• Ability to undertake all physical requirements involved with the early childhood setting including lifting loads of 20 kg, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and trunk twisting, kneeling, sitting and standing for duration
• Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate, Child Protection Certificate or willingness to obtain
• Blue Card
• Police check
• Australian Working Rights
