THE COMMITMENT

  • Part time work for 18 months, with alternating weeks: 3 days one week / 4 days the next week.
  • You’ll earn $24.17 per hour + super

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Working across Long Day Care and Kindergarten to learn all aspects of Early Childcare Education.
  • Create fun and engaging play experiences for children that support their learning and development, based on their interests and needs.
  • Work alongside experienced educators to help plan and run activities that follow the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Build positive and caring relationships with children, helping them feel safe, supported and ready to learn.
  • Support children during mealtimes, encouraging healthy eating and making sure their dietary needs are met.
  • Join in group activities like art, music, games and outdoor play that help children build social skills, confidence, and creativity.
  • Create long-lasting connections and partnerships with your local community, schools, and families.
  • Always follow child safety rules and policies, putting the safety and wellbeing of every child first.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone aged 18-26* who is an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident and:

  • Is enthusiastic
  • Has empathy and emotional intelligence
  • Is a reliable team player
  • Has strong communication skills
  • Is creative and adaptable

Mandatory Requirements: 

To work in this role, you’ll need to provide two work or professional references, plus hold (or be willing to get) a current Working With Children Check (or relevant state equivalent) and a Police Check. Y Careers makes it easy by covering the cost and helping you every step of the way.
