What makes us different

Traditional recruitment can often feel like a one-and-done process: you receive a résumé, conduct an interview, and then you're left to handle the rest. But at Y Careers, we’re focused on long-term impact. We not only help find and recruit great people, but we also offer continuous support through training and career coaching.

We’re more than just a recruitment service. We’re your workforce partner. Here’s how we stand out.

GEN Z ATTRACTION

Our recruitment service is specifically tailored to attract Gen Z to the Education and Care Sector. Co-designed with young people and industry experts, our program ensures we’re meeting the needs of both the next generation of workers and the sector itself.

Through our wide network, we reach motivated, job-ready young people who are actively seeking long-term careers in the Education and Care Sector. We work closely with them to build their confidence and prepare them for interviews, so you meet candidates who are ready to work.

ACCESS TO ONGOING SUPPORT

Our support doesn't end once the candidate is placed. Every person we connect to a role receives access to a Y Careers Coach for up to 6 months. This support helps ensure a smoother onboarding experience, builds confidence, and boosts retention, so your new hire stays engaged and supported from day one.

We specialise in entry-level to mid-career roles (no more than 5 years experience and not director roles) across Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC), Outside School Hours Care, Aged Care, and Disability Services.

Timelines vary depending on your needs, but we aim to provide shortlisted candidates within 4–6 weeks.

All new hires receive access to a Y Careers Coach for 6 months.

We leverage our growing network of job seekers, education partners, and employment services. All candidates are pre-screened to ensure they meet your role requirements and are ready to contribute from day one.

No. While Y Careers’ traineeship program focuses on supporting young people aged 18–26 through a Commonwealth exemption under the Age Discrimination Act 2004, this exemption does not apply to the Qualified Placement Program. As Y Careers is not the legal employer, this service is open to people of all ages.

As a not-for-profit, we are able to charge a flat rate of $3,000 (ex. GST).

If your hire resigns or is terminated within one month of their start date, we’ll provide one replacement candidate at no additional cost.
